The reimagined Alumni Hall will be a warm and inviting new space designed to serve as a welcoming home for the University’s vast and vibrant alumni base, and all who come to Grounds. The 50,000-sf project received a transformational naming gift from the Aggarwal Family and will reopen as Aggarwal Hall in recognition of their generosity. The building will sit on the same parcel of land as the existing Alumni Hall, round out a rapidly evolving Emmet/Ivy corridor, and fill a longstanding void in the hospitality experience for alumni and visitors alike. Alumni Hall has been a home to the Alumni Association since 1936. The building has welcomed thousands of new graduates, created a place for treasured student traditions, and served as the celebratory center for Hoos of all ages to show orange and blue pride. But to fully honor the spirit of those who came before—and those who are yet to come—it is time to build a new home. A home that marries the best of the past with our aspirations for the future. A home that serves a worldwide alumni base while recognizing the unique contributions of each visitor. Construction began September 1, 2025 with an expected grand opening in the spring of 2027.
